Allana Buick & Bers, Inc. Recognized by RCI for Document Excellence

PALO ALTO, CA, March 15th, 2009 - Palo Alto based Allana Buick & Bers, Inc. (ABB) is pleased to announce the recognition from the Roof Consultants Institute (RCI) for excellence in project documentation. ABB was acknowledged as one of the winners of the 2009 Document Competition that was announced at the 24th RCI International Convention & Trade Show in Dallas, Texas.

The RCI Document Competition is an annual event organized to recognize members’ excellence in roofing, waterproofing, and exterior wall construction project documentation. All entries were on display at the RCI International Trade Show, March 14-15, 2009.

ABB received Third Place for excellence in the Large Roofing/ Waterproofing/ Exterior Wall Project Documents category, for construction valued greater than $500,000, for the Marina Harbor project located in Marina del Rey, California.

Allana Buick and Bers, Inc. (ABB) was retained by E&S Ring Management to provide waterproofing design services and construction management services for the $40M renovation of 15 buildings and 3 podiums of the Marina Harbor Apartments. The 48-acre site has more than 900 units and several common area amenities including swimming pools, spas and a fitness center. The entire scope of repair included new windows, exterior railings, elastomeric coatings, roofing, spall repair and podium reconstruction. The entire project was completed in 18 months. ABB submitted the podium portion of this scope for the document competition.
