1987: |
ABB predecessor firm (Roofing Services and Consultants) was founded in Sunnyvale, California by Karim Allana. In its early years, the firm provided roofing design services, quality control services, and occasionally roofing repair services.

| 1989: |
Gerson Bers joined the firm, which had grown to a staff of six Employees and offered expertise in building facility assessments and consultation for multiple building envelope systems.

| 1991: |
The firm moved to a larger facility in San Jose, California to accommodate the rapidly growing staff.

1992: |
Steve Lippert, our first chief architect, joined the firm and added the expertise in building code compliance, steel fabrication, and construction.

| 1994: |
The firm changed its name from Roofing Services and Consultants to Allana-Lippert, Inc. in recognition of the comprehensive list of architectural-engineering services offered to our clients. Demand for the firm’s expertise grew rapidly during the early “internet bubble”.

| 2001: |
Our first branch office was opened in San Diego. The San Diego staff provided consulting services to our Southern California clients and provided valuable lessons on how to organize and staff branch offices.

| 2003: |
The firm’s expertise was greatly expanded in late 2003 when Gerson Bers and Eugene Buick joined the firm as partners. At that time, the firm had approximately fourteen full-time Employees and had added a new mechanical engineering consulting specialty.

| 2004: |
Hawaii was the second branch office to open and provided roof design and construction management services for a substantial hotel renovation in Waikiki.

| 2005: |
Several milestones were reached, including the firm doubling in size to more than forty employees and changing the name to Allana Buick & Bers, Inc. Our expertise expanded to include structural engineering and large-scale construction management.
Additionally, we opened a third branch office in Los Angeles, California and a fourth branch office in Las Vegas, Nevada.

| 2006: |
The firm continued to see growth in staff expertise and client base in all offices. Importantly, we needed more space to house the rapidly growing headquarters staff. In late 2006, ABB moved its headquarters to a newly renovated 20,000 square foot office at 990 Commercial Street in Palo Alto, California.
The new headquarters building was renovated specifically to accommodate ABB’s range of services. The new headquarters building has a large training facility and dedicated areas for accounting, IT facilities, and corporate marketing. The consulting staff is housed in an open studio with collaborative spaces and large personal work areas.

| 2007: |
The firm continued to expand past ninety (90) Employees.
New office openings included a satellite branch on the Island of Maui as well as Sacramento, California.

| 2009: |
The firm continued to expand past one hundred (100) employees.
A new branch office is opened in Seattle, Washington.
Additionally, ABB launches a new Energy and Solar Division in an effort to provide our clients with energy efficiency, solar PV building integration and renewable energy consulting services.
