Allana Buick & Bers, Inc. Expands Property Assessment Services, Mario Cano Joins ABB’s Los Angeles Office

PALO ALTO, CA, April 7, 2009 - Palo Alto based Allana Buick & Bers, Inc. (ABB) announces a new addition to their Los Angeles office. Effective March 16, Mario Cano has joined the firm, greatly expanding ABB’s Property and Building Assessment capabilities.

Mr. Cano has more than 30 years of experience in property and building assessment throughout Southern California. His technical strengths evolve from his architectural background and multi-disciplinary professional experiences. He has extensive experience in client and project management.

Key property assessment projects include retail, healthcare, educational and hospitality projects. Mr. Cano performs comprehensive inventory and physical condition assessment of the building(s) and surrounding site, providing reports with cost estimates for repair/rehabilitation required. He also has extensive experience working with clients to determine a capital improvements schedule based on immediate, medium and long-term repair needs.

Notable projects that Mr. Cano has been involved with include a major demolition project at the former Norton Air Force Base in San Bernardino and earthquake repair work done after the 1994 Northridge earthquake.

Mr. Cano is a Construction Document Technician (CDT), certified by the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI). He received his Bachelor of Science in Architecture from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo.
