Allana Buick & Bers (ABBAE) was retained by the City of Seattle to provide design, bidding, and construction administration services for the Fire Department Headquarters located in Seattle, Washington.
ABBAE was initially asked to perform an investigation of the current condition of the exterior masonry. ABBAE determined necessary repairs including removal of cast stone, replacing damaged lintels, coating horizontal projections, replacing sealants, and replacing and sealing cast stone and joinery, to ensure the envelope was water and weather-tight.
In addition, ABBAE prepared construction details, assisted with bidding, and provided construction administration phase services.
