Housing Authority of County of Santa Clara (HACSC)

Allana Buick and Bers, Inc. (ABBAE) was retained by the Housing Authority of County of Santa Clara (HACSC) to investigate, recommend, design and provide construction management related services for six of their properties throughout the county.

ABBAE prepared separate Conditions Needs Assessments (CNA’s) for family and senior housing properties at six project sites in three cities. these reports detailed ADA requirements, UFAS and the physical condition of the complexes which included the building structure, exterior building envelope, interior finishes and architectural features, landscaping and site work, plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems. The Reports are serving as a basis for remedial design and construction work.

ABBAE’s scope included reconfiguration of unit layouts and common areas and furniture/fixture replacement throughout. New energy-efficient HVAC systems were designed and installed along with high efficiency tankless water heaters, water conserving plumbing fixtures, electrical upgrades, ADA compliance, landscaping, seismic upgrades, low voltage upgrades and new laundry facilities.

ABBAE completed the remedial design work and provided the bidding and construction administration phase service. A summary of the sites are below:
