Oracle Headquarters

ABB provided building enclosure and roofing consulting services for Oracle Headquarters in Redwood Shores, California.

The project involved multiple mid-rise steel-framed office towers clad with aluminum and metallized glazed curtain wall systems, with existing ballasted EPDM roof assemblies. ABB supported the campus with investigation, design, and construction-phase services focused on roof performance, durability, and long-term asset planning.

At Oracle Headquarters, ABB evaluated roofing conditions across multiple tower buildings, including paver wind uplift concerns and the need for roof replacement planning. The goal was not only to address immediate repair needs, but also to improve long-term performance and support future capital planning across the campus.

ABB performed investigation, analysis, preparation of roof condition report and recommendation for replacement on three tower buildings at the Oracle headquarters campus in Redwood Shores, California. Scope included performing an engineering review of the paver wind uplift issues they were experiencing as well as preparing design documents for the necessary repairs. ABB prepared construction documents for a fully adhered reinforced PVC roof membrane roof replacement and provided construction administration services.

ABB’s services have also included assessing the remaining roofing service life for all campus high and midrise office buildings, developing roof replacement schedules and budgets, integrating fall prevention systems into new roofing assemblies, developing structural designs for exterior fiberglass/composite stair access and roof mounted antenna equipment, and seismic analysis of interior equipment and data server infrastructure.
