Allana Buick & Bers, Inc. (ABBAE) was retained by the San Diego Community College District (SDCCD) to provide construction monitoring services for the exterior wall and roof systems of a new campus building.
The Career Technology Center (CTC) is an 85,000 SF, five-story steel frame building with a partial level below-grade. The building has been certified LEED Gold by the US Green Building Council.
ABBAE’s scope included monitoring installation of the exterior wall and roof systems; curtain wall with seven types of vision, spandrel and ceramic frit glass, thin set brick and tile, pre-finished metal panels, stainless steel mesh panels and a metal landscape trellis for a ‘green wall’. The roof system contains photovoltaic arrays.
