Allana Buick & Bers, Inc. (ABBAE) was retained by the Shriners Hospital and the general contractor to provide construction monitoring of waterproofing and building systems.
The new $79 million medial center at the Shriners Hospital for Children is a three building, 150,000 SF complex with 24 inpatient beds. The 6.5 acre site also has a family building that has 20 beds for up to 10 families, a recreation therapy area and therapy pool.
ABBAE provided construction monitoring and observation for the below-grade waterproofing, roofing and exterior wall cladding installation. Additional services included water testing, drywall testing and infrared testing and evaluation.
