Allana Buick & Bers, Inc. (ABBAE) was retained by Equity Residential to perform feasibility assessment and roof integration design services for this 114kW roof mounted waterfront building.

The Pier is a waterfront apartment complex owned by Equity Residential,a large Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT).

ABBAE was also retained to conduct an Energy Audit to determine viable energy conservation measures and a feasibility assessment for solar PV energy generation programs. ABBAE’s energy analysis included energy analytics, rate tariff analysis and modeling, interconnection and regulatory analysis, system sizing, component selection, roof condition investigation, and design of a unique attachment and flashing method for properly securing the system to the roof in a high-wind zone with extreme freeze/thaw and maritime conditions.
