Conley Group, An ABBAE Company, was retained by City of Dallas to provide building enclosure commissioning, condition assessments, functional testing, design development, construction documents, bid phase support, and construction administration for Meyerson Symphony Center located in Dallas, Texas.
Conley Group was selected by the City of Dallas to perform Building Envelope Consulting on this high profile, Downtown Dallas building. The project consisted of 56,305 SF of roof area on 4 levels involving 3 different roofing assemblies, and 3 manufacturers.
Conley Group’s investigation required multiple review targets including roofing, wall panels, skylights, sloped and vertical glazing as well as plaza areas on the I.M. Pei designed structure. Findings recommended replacement of existing roofing systems, modification of sloped glazing run off drainage components, vertical glazing and correction of various waterproofing defects. Conley Group presented options and budgetary estimates for decision making/funding purposes by City of Dallas. Conley Group developed design documents and drawings, assisted with bidding and contractor review/selection. Conley provided administration and construction oversight on Owner’s behalf. This project required extensive work phasing and schedule coordination with Meyerson events and with concurrent exterior/interior restoration work. Our strategic coordination on this project successfully restored water-tight integrity to the Meyerson without interrupting operations.
